Hello Lacrosse Family,
With continued public health concerns due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Minto Cup to be hosted here in St.Catharines. This decision was made in consultation with the Canadian Lacrosse Association, our Minto cup partners of 2021 Canada Games Host Society and the Ontario Junior A Council (OJALL)
The Minto Cup was originally set to take place from August 15th to 22nd at the Meridian Center here in St. Catharines, Ont.
Our President Paul Coates had this statement with regard to this unfortunate turn of events this season:
“In our ongoing conversations with the OJALL governors, we are thankful they continue to value the partnership of these events, and remain committed to St. Catharines as host of the Minto Cup in 2021.
Therefore, as much as we are disappointed with today’s announcement, we are looking forward to working with the Niagara 2021 Host Society with respect to the planning and preparation for the 2021 Minto Cup”.

There are still many decisions to be made regarding next season which will need to be discussed and decided upon in the coming weeks. Please say tuned for further developments.
In the meantime, everybody please stay strong as we get through this pandemic and we look forward to happier times ahead.....
To the entire St.Catharines Jr. A Lacrosse family and the entire lacrosse community, we have an important message regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
