The A's head down the QEW tonight to take on the Oakville Buzz for a 8:00pm game tonight.
One night after a great home game beating the Mimico Mountaineers, the A's look to keep up the winning ways and improve their record to 7 and 3 for the season.
The last game against Oakville went into OT so this should be another tough battle with the newly formed Buzz.
Safe Travels and Good Luck A's!!. Bring Back the Win!
Despite being outshot 46 to 36, the A's picked up a big win against the other guys in Double Blue i.e Mimico Mountaineers at the Jack last night.
Goaltender Nick Damude was huge in between the pipes as he stopped 41 of the 46 shots fired by the squad from Mimico.
After an early 1-1 tie in the first, the A's exploded for 5 straight goals including an electrifying breakaway goal by Captain Latrell Harris at beginning of the 2nd period..
The A's kept up the pressure on both ends of the floor and secured the 10-5 win. Carter Zavitz and Kealan Pilon again led the way in production each picking up 4 points in the win. Bradley Fannell played some tough D and also picked up 2 markers including the empty-netter.
After a night of rest, the Athletics are back at it again tonight with a road game in Oakville to take on the Buzz where they hope to go to 7 wins and take sole possession of 2nd place in the OJALL standings

The Athletics fell to the Toronto Beaches 11 - 10 in yesterday's afternoon matchup in Toronto.
The A's made a furious attack in the third period scoring the last 3 goals but couldn't manage to complete the big comeback.
Once again the A's were led by C Zavitz (7 pts), Pilon and Mayea (6 pts each) . Jake McNabb also collected 5 assists.
Our next game is at home against Mimico on Wednesday night for a 7:30pm start at the Jack.
This should be a great game as the two teams vie to climb to the top of the standings and keep pace with the top teams in the OJALL.

The A's notched their 5th win of the season beating the Lakeshores with an impressive 9 to 1 performance in Barrie last night.
Carter Zavitz had another 6 point game (1 goal 5 assists) to lead the way for the A's. Brayden Mayea had 5 points on 2 goals and 3 assists and Kealan Pilon had 4 points including the hat trick.
Big defensive effort from the A's D-men to limit the Lakeshores production and netminder Nick Damude was stellar stopping 20 of 21 shots in the win.
The win takes the Athletics to 5 and 2 on the season as they head into Toronto to play the Beaches Lacrosse club in a Sunday afternoon match-up. (see schedule here)
Keep up the great work DoubleBlue!!
