Tyler Burton played four seasons with the St. Catharines Jr. A Athletics, and in nine seasons of pro lacrosse he just won his third world championship - all that while going undrafted!

The Athletics fell to the Toronto Beaches 11 - 10 in yesterday's afternoon matchup in Toronto.
The A's made a furious attack in the third period scoring the last 3 goals but couldn't manage to complete the big comeback.
Once again the A's were led by C Zavitz (7 pts), Pilon and Mayea (6 pts each) . Jake McNabb also collected 5 assists.
Our next game is at home against Mimico on Wednesday night for a 7:30pm start at the Jack.
This should be a great game as the two teams vie to climb to the top of the standings and keep pace with the top teams in the OJALL.

The A's notched their 5th win of the season beating the Lakeshores with an impressive 9 to 1 performance in Barrie last night.
Carter Zavitz had another 6 point game (1 goal 5 assists) to lead the way for the A's. Brayden Mayea had 5 points on 2 goals and 3 assists and Kealan Pilon had 4 points including the hat trick.
Big defensive effort from the A's D-men to limit the Lakeshores production and netminder Nick Damude was stellar stopping 20 of 21 shots in the win.
The win takes the Athletics to 5 and 2 on the season as they head into Toronto to play the Beaches Lacrosse club in a Sunday afternoon match-up. (see schedule here)

The A's continue with their busy week as they head North to Barrie to take on the Lakeshores tonight at 8:00pm. The Athletics are looking to improve their record to 5 wins against 2 losses.
Leading scorers Tyler Brown, Kealan Pilon and Carter Zavitz will be looking to generate some much needed offense for the DoubleBlue.
After the Barrie game, the Boys in Blue will get a day of rest before travelling to Toronto to play Beaches in a Sunday afternoon matchup.

The A's had two "Z-Boys" on the squad for last nights win against the Oakville Buzz. The pair of Zavitz brothers were in on 7 of the 8 goals with Carter scoring twice and adding four assists while younger brother Keaton added two assists in his Jr. A debut!

Double Blue Home Win !!
The Athletics picked up their 4th victory of the year in tonight's win over the Oakville Buzz at home in Jack Gatecliff Arena.
The game was a defensive struggle with a 4 - 4 tied result after 60 minutes of regulation play.
However, the A's outscored the Buzz 4 goals to 1 in the OT period including two empty netters to secure the home victory. Rookie Brayden Mayea scored his second goal of the night with the winner in extra time.
Carter Zavitz had another big night picking up 2 goals and 4 assists to lead the way for the A's.
The A's look to keep the momentum building with a road game in Barrie on Friday night when they match up against the winless Lakeshores.
Let's go #DoubleBlue!!!
Our Next Home Game is tonight (May 29) when we go up against the Oakville Buzz with a 7:30pm start at the Jack.

The A's lost a 9 - 7 decision against the Warriors last night in a road game in Whitby. The loss dropped the Athletics to 3 wins and 2 losses on the season.
After falling behind early, the A's overcame a couple of 4 goal deficits and scored 3 goals in the final period but could not secure the comeback win.
Carter Zavitz paced the A's with a 5 point performance including 4 goals and 1 helper in the losing cause.
Th'e A's will try to regroup and get back in the win column with a home game tonight at 7:30pm when they meet the Oakville Buzz at Jack GateCliff Arena.
