It was a hot night in Jack #PackTheJack last night for the Quarter Final Series Opener against the Six Nations Arrows.

However, things heated up even more when the A's and Arrows took the floor for a fiery action packed game as playoff intensity cranked up the temperature in the old Garden City Barn.

The 500 strong attendees that braved the sweltering temperatures were rewarded with a great game of lacrosse as the A's picked up the 10-7 win over Six Nations.

The Arrows definitely came to play in playoff form and gave the A's fits in the first half of the game. After falling behind 6-3, Coach Steve Toll called a time out and lit a fire under the Boys in Double Blue #doublebluecrew.  After that, it was all A's as they took over the game outscoring the Arrows 7 to 1 in the second half and picked up the win in front of the home crowd.

After getting off to a slow start, A's sniper Alex Simmons found his range leading the Athletics with 6 points on 3 Goals and 3 Assists,

Athletics Netminder Nick Damude stopped 34 of 41 shots fired by the Arrows.

Arrows and A's go at it again tonight for an 8:00pm game in Six Nations for Game 2 of the Best of 5 series.

Game 3 will be played back home in St.Catharines on Sunday July 14th with a 7:00pm start at the Jack.

Let's Go DoubleBlue!!!!!!
